Although the overall volume of business school applications has been trending somewhat downwards recently, competition for available slots remains high. The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) reports that MBA programs in the United States receive an average of nearly five applications for every open seat. There is still a great deal of international interest in business programs in the United States and Europe. About 39% of all applicants to U.S. business schools are citizens of other countries, mostly in Central, Southern, and Eastern Asia. Approximately 53% of applicants to business programs in Europe are citizens of countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East. Business schools will happily accept international students if they are qualified. The latest MBA class at the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, for example, is 33% international, with 65 countries represented. This institution and others like it have extremely high GMAT standards. Wharton's overall GMAT range is 530-790, but the average GMAT total score is 730. The GMAT scores needed for admission to selective business schools require GMAT instruction of the highest quality.
Manhattan Review's GMAT private tutoring and GMAT prep courses have consistently produced acceptances to outstanding graduate business programs at Harvard, Cambridge, Oxford, the University of Pennsylvania, Yale, the University of California-Berkeley, the University of Chicago, Columbia, Stanford, the University of Edinburgh, the University of California-Los Angeles, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, London Business School, the University of Virginia, the University of Michigan, Northwestern, and many more. I took the GMAT weekend course last year in August in Zurich (it was the weekend of those terrific floods in Switzerland...), and I remember the instructor telling us to let you know how I did. Sorry it took so long! I got a 680, which was good for 90th percentile, and it got me an 80% scholarship at the school that was my first choice. Thanks so much for the assistance. On more than one occasion I heard my instructor's voice in my head during the exam. It helped immeasurably! The strategies, tactics, and the overall mindset he prescribed made all the difference. Thanks again! Please pass on my thanks and appreciation to my instructor.
